2011 Trophy Recipients
As awarded 18th September 2011 for the year ending August 2011
Following the DQ Qualifying Competition, Diving Queensland arranged a sausage sizzle by the lake at the Sleeman Sports Complex. There were announcements and awards and DQ was delighted to have as special guests, Sharleen Stratton and Ethan Warren.
Diver of the Year trophies are awarded for Divers that achieve the highest points in their category.

New Awards were also presented this year and from nominations received they include the following:
Volunteer of the Year - awarded to anyone going above and beyond in the area of volunteering for Diving Queensland. This year the award was presented to Heidi Graymore
Club of the Year - awarded to the Club that fitted the criteria as posted. This year the award was presented to RAPS Diving Club
Encouragement Award - applicable to Age Divers only, nominations are received based on a Diver who shows the promise to become a greater Diver. This may be demonstrated by their potential to progress to a higher level, or their commitment to the sport and or their fellow Divers through their leadership and compassion. The award this year was won by Lauren Craig-Ward
Rookie of the Year - this presentation is to the Diver with the best results who is competing at any of the Australian Championships for the first time. This means that as the Divers progress through the sport and therefore the National Championships, they will become eligible when they enter a higher category than that which they have entered previously. Diving Queensland presented the trophy to Paige McCartney
Best New Talent - presented to the Diver who has achieved an outstanding result at an international event that they are attending for the first time. Like the Rookies, Divers will become eligible as they attend different international events eg World Junior; World Cup; Grand Prix etc. Brittany Broben won the award for 2011
Best Male Diver - Due to his competition and of course great results, the Best Male Diver for Queensland, was presented to Ethan Warren
Best Female Diver - Considered as Queensland's premier Diver, and with outstanding results at the Commonwealth Games in India bringing home gold and 2 silver medals, DQ was delighted to present Sharleen Stratton with this award
