2009 FINA World Series in Qatar & China

The Australian team was Matthew Mitcham (NSW/NSWIS), Melissa Wu (NSW/AIS), Bree Cole (VIC/AIS) and Sharleen Stratton (QLD/AIS). These athletes were invited to attend by FINA based on their international performances in 2008.

CHINA

Women's 3m – Sharleen Stratton GOLD

China won all eight gold medals on offer in Qatar and only Sharleen Strattons gold in the Womens 3m event in China, prevented China from another clean sweep of eight golds.

The final two legs of the 2009 FINA World Series will be held in England (18/19 April) and Mexico (24/25 April). The Australian team is Matthew Mitcham (NSW/NSWIS), Melissa Wu (NSW/AIS), Bree Cole (VIC/AIS), Sharleen Stratton (QLD/AIS) and Alex Croak (NSW/NSWIS) (Croak Mexico only).
