Compete for your spot at the Z Manu World Championships in Auckland!
(flights, accomodation, and spending money included)
Q Splash is the only Australian qualifying event for the 2026 Z Manu World Championships Grand Final. There are four qualifying spots up for grabs, one each for the winnners of:
- Adult (18+) male, and female, and
- Youth (13-17) male, and female.
Plus, you will receive flights, 2 nights accomodation, and $250 spending money to attend the event in Auckland. If you win the Youth category, we will fly a parent or guardian as well so they can watch you compete on the World stage!
What makes a Q Splash Champion?
Come prepared with:
- a Classic Manu (bum hits the water first followed by arms and legs in a "V" shape), and
- your favourite freestyle bomb dive (cannonball, staple, gorilla, coffin, horsey, can opener etc)
The rules are pretty simple:
- Strictly no run ups
- You must jump straight out (no sideways jumping)
- No props (waterbottles, balls)
- No climbing on the dive tower, only take off from the sprinngboard, or platform
- No bouncing on the springboard prior to jumping. You can use the momentum of the springboard only once
- Standard Manu attire, but no jeans allowed
- Be safe, don't dive beyond your skill level, and follow the event team or lifeguards instructions.
Failure to follow the rules will result in disqualification for the jump in question.
Judging
We are looking for three things:
- Splash height
- Sound / Pop, and
- Style
Your top attempt (of 3) is your final score.

Join us in the "Splash Zone"
Your Splash Zone wristband gets you access to watch all the action from inside the pool. Lounge on the edge of the pool in directly across from the dive tower, or float near the lane rope.
This will be the best view of our Bomb Divers and Freestyle Cliff Jumpers... with a high chance of getting splashed!
The Splash Zone is included for all competitors automatically in your registration.
Spectators can join the Splash Zone by registering here ($10 + card fees), and collecting your wrist band from the event crew on the day.
Practice to Perfection

Need to get your training in? We will be opening up Q Splash practice sessions at Official Q Splash Training Venues across the Gold Coast, Brisbane in January.
Our Diving Coaches will be there on hand to help you perfect your takeoff, flight, and entry... to maximise your score... and splash!
Get your entry in and follow @divingqld on Instagram or Tiktok to to hear about the dates, times, and locations as they are confirmed. #qsplash
