Level 1 Diving Coach Practical Workshop

Get ready for an exciting learning experience in our Coaches Level 1 Course.  This course is an integral part of the pathway for all coaches within Diving Australia.  Led by the well-renowned Vyninka Arlow, a Diving Australia Level 3 Coach with a wealth of experience across all levels of diving coaching, and currently serving as the National Pathway Coach at the Queensland Academy of Sport (QAS), Vyninka will share her insights and expertise, alongside another talented coach, Ben Fox. Ben, a current DA Level 2 Coach, brings years of coaching experience to the table. Together, their combined talents promise an engaging and informative course that will lay a strong foundation for your coaching journey ahead! 

COURSE DETAILS

• When: Saturday 17th August 2024 from 7.30am-4:30pm. These times are subject to change subject to facilitator discretion. Any changes to start time will be clearly communicated ahead of time. 
• Lunch will be provided. Please list any dietary requirements you may have when registering.
• Where: Brisbane Aquatic Centre, Sleeman Sports Complex, Chandler
• Cost: $150 per participant

This course is one component to becoming a Diving Australia Level 1 Coach. Please note, Level 1 Coaches must be 16 years of age before they may be accredited, however Coach candidates do not need to be 16 to participate in this Course. 

Registration for this Course is open to all members of Diving Queensland:

• Members can access the Registration Portal for this Course by entering their login details. 
• If you are not already a Member of Diving Queensland, you may register as a member here to obtain login details. We recommend that you join as an official/volunteer if you are not otherwise a Parent/Guardian of an existing Member. 

Once you have successfully registered for this Course, you will receive a link and login information to complete the pre-course Diving Australia online modules: Level 1 Online Training Course & Dryland Training Course.

There are additional learning requirements involved in attaining a DA Level 1 Coach Accreditation and while these will be discussed during the Course they include: 

1. First Aid and CPR Certifications
2. Working with Children Clearance
3. Sport Integrity Australia E-learning certificates
4. 25 hours of supervised practical coaching alongside an accredited DA Level 2 Coach.
