Diving Queensland is pleased to be hosting the 2026 Queensland School Sport Diving Trials on Sunday 17 May 2026.

These Trials will determine the athletes that will be eligible to represent Queensland at the 2026 Australian School Sport Championships. 

Where:

• Brisbane Aquatic Centre, Sleeman Sports Complex, Chandler

Competition Start Times: 12:30pm

(Please note the exact times are to be determined, as the event will commence after the conclusion of the Qualifying event in the morning)

Divers are permitted to train in the morning training session times of the DQ Qualifier, from 7am-9am.

However, additional warmup and pre-competition preparation times will be available, with approximate estimated times, as follows:

• Dry warm up will commence from 12pm
• Water warm up will commence from approximately 12:30pm
• Competition to commence at approximately 1pm
• Finish time to be confirmed following the closing of registrations.

Athletes may enter a maximum of two events at the Trials:

1: A Springboard event (as this includes 1m and/or 3m dives), and/or

2: A Platform event.

There will be no Synchronised event held at these Trials. This is because synchronised pairings for the SSA Championships will be determined from members already on the Queensland Team.

Athletes must enter in their appropriate age group. Please familiarise yourself with the Rules and Guidelines document, as these will inform the competition and age requirements relating to each event.

Athletes who place 1^st, 2^nd or 3^rd in their respective age group will be offered a position on the Diving Queensland Team.

If, at the end of the Trials, vacancies remain in older age groups, athletes who did not place in the top 3 of their respective events may be invited to dive in an older age group in order to fill those vacancies.

Registrations Close: 6pm on Sunday, 10th May 2026.

Dive sheets:

• Online dive sheets must be submitted online via DiveRecorder by Wednesday 13th May, 8pm. As always, early submission of dive sheets is appreciated.
• When registering on dive recorder for this event, please enter your School as your Team Name.
• Changes to dive sheets will NOT be accepted after 9:00 am on Saturday 16th May.
• To make changes to submitted divesheets between 6:00pm on Wednesday 13th May & 9:00am Saturday 16th May, please notify the DQ Competitions Committee by emailing admin@divingqld.org.au and detailing the desired change.

Eligibility:

• All competitors must be DQ registered Competitive Divers to contest the Trials.
• All competitors must be bona fide school students attaining a minimum age of 10 years and a maximum age of 19 years in the year of competition.
• All age requirements relate to the age the student will be as at the 31st December 2026.

Attire:

As you are representing your School at these Trials, if your school has a sports uniform and togs it is encouraged that you were these on the day. However, this is not a requirement.
