...in February, we are flipping that on its head!

Q Splash: the Queensland Manu and Freestyle Bomb Diving Championships will take place at the Gold Coast Aquatic Centre on Saturday,  February 2026.

Hosted by Diving Queensland, in partnership with the Gold Coast Diving Academy and the Z Manu World Champs, we are searching for Queensland's best bomb divers. Bringing amazing talent out from backyard pools across the state to 'splash it out' for championship glory at Queensland's premier outdoor diving facility.

From the classic Manu, through to cannonballs, horseys, can openers, staplers, coffins, chairs, and even backslap fails... over 200 athletes will converge on the Gold Coast to make the biggest splash, with the most creativity and style. With athletes jumping from 1 metre, 3 metres, and for the brave... 5 metres, across kids (8-12), youth (13-17), and adult (18+) age groups.

Q Splash is the only official Australian qualifying event for the 2026 Z Manu World Champs - New Zealand's viral bomb diving sensation, with over 2000 competitors and 50 million social media views last year.

Four qualifying spots are up for grabs in the Z Many World Champs Grand Final at Auckland's Viaduct Harbour in March 2026. With flights, accommodation, and spending money included for the winners so they can represent Queensland and Australia on the world stage.

We are talking big splash... and even bigger vibes. Held over the Waitangi Day weekend, Q Splash will be a multicultural celebration of the Australian/Kiwi/Māori/Pasifika community on the Gold Coast.

Plus, spectators can get as close to the action as possible in the "Splash Zone", enjoying what will be the best pool party on the Gold Coast this summer, DJ included. The Celebrity Splash event, and exhibition Freestyle Cliff Jumping and 'death diving' competition from 5m, 7.5m, and 10m will round out a great family day out.

For competitors wanting to perfect their dives, we will be opening up Q Splash practice sessions at Official Q Splash Training venues across the Gold Coast, Brisbane, Sunshine Coast, and beyond in January. Our Diving Coaches will be there on hand to help you perfect your take off, flight, and entry... to maximise your score... and splash!
